THOMAS SEMLER NAMED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, SALES DEVELOPMENT MANAGER OF WEICHERT COMMERCIAL BROKERAGE, INC.

James Sousa, president of Weichert Commercial Brokerage, Inc., is pleased to announce that Thomas Semler has been named senior vice president. In addition, Semler will also serve as the company’s sales development manager with responsibility for the professional development of Weichert Commercial Brokerage’s sales associates.

“We are excited to welcome Tom to our Weichert Commercial Brokerage executive team,” said Sousa. “In particular, we look forward to the training initiatives he will lead in the newly created sales development manager role. This is a unique opportunity for Tom to help us grow Weichert Commercial Brokerage, while also allowing us to serve our clients more effectively by having a team of highly trained sales professionals.”

Semler has more than 40 years of commercial real estate experience, specializing in the representation of clients in the acquisition and disposition of corporate facilities, tenant representation, agency leasing and sales, portfolio management and lease restructuring. Most recently, he was senior vice president at Avison Young. Prior to that, Semler was principal at Cresa New Jersey and spent almost 20 years at Cushman & Wakefield. Over the course of his career, Semler has acted on behalf of his clients in leases and sales totaling more than 4 million square feet.

A 30-year resident of Morris County, N.J., Semler graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Arts in economics. Active in his community and the industry, Semler is a member of the Georgetown University Real Estate Alliance and the Morris County Economic Development Corporation. He also is a board member and treasurer of the Morris County Park Alliance and volunteers with Homeless Solutions Inc.

James Sousa has been promoted to president of Weichert Commercial Brokerage, Inc., and he will assume responsibility for delivering the company’s overall strategy to serve the needs of commercial real estate clients and customers.

He joined Weichert Commercial Brokerage in 2005 as senior vice president, and was most recently manager of Weichert Commercial’s Morris Plains office, where he oversaw the office, industrial, land, retail and investment divisions.

WEICHERT COMMERCIAL BROKERAGE RECOGNIZES JOHN MCDONALD AND MATT MCDONALD FOR INDUSTRY SUCCESS

John G. Udell, president of Weichert Commercial Brokerage, Inc., is pleased to recognize Vice President John McDonald and Sales Associate Matt McDonald for their ongoing success in 2016.

The two brokers specialize in retail and office space, and have recently closed four deals in Bedminster, N.J. These transactions include the lease of 1,520 square feet of retail space at 247 Route 202/206, the lease of 3,600 square feet of retail space at 308-312 Main Street, the lease of 1,100 square feet of office space at 395 Main Street and 900 square feet of retail space 243 Route 202/206.

In addition to the deals in Bedminster, McDonald and McDonald also closed two deals in New Brunswick, N.J. These sales transactions include 6,336 square feet of investment space at 380 George Street and 4,706 square feet of retail space at 382 George Street.

Rounding out the brokers’ notable transactions to date this year was the lease of 2,550 square feet of office space at 580 Allen Road in Basking Ridge.

FRED C. EHRHARDT JOINS WEICHERT COMMERCIAL BROKERAGE AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT

Mr. Ehrhardt has worked creating opportunities in the leasing, consulting, investment, pad & out parcels, land development and sale of retail commercial property, and tenant representation since 1973, with over 30 million square feet worth over $456 million in the New Jersey market. He is a Licensed Real Estate Agent in the State of New Jersey.

Some of his previous experience includes being responsible for the management, leasing, and project construction of a commercial real estate portfolio of 1.5 million square feet located in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. He has also managed all facets of commercial mix-use real estate consisting of 2 million square feet, such as the 600,000 square foot high density 4 city block, 69th Street Center in Upper Darby, PA and Race Street downtown office building in Philadelphia.
