MORRIS PLAINS, NJ – MARCH 2, 2007–John G. Udell, president of Weichert Commercial Brokerage, Inc. (WCB) is pleased to announce the appointment of James Sousa as manager of WCB’s Headquarter office in Morris Plains, New Jersey.
“We are extremely happy that Jim has accepted this management position for our Morris Plains office,” stated John G. Udell, president. “His industry knowledge and experience has been an asset to our organization since he joined in 2005, and we are confident that the respect Jim enjoys in the brokerage community will be a benefit to him and our salespeople in this new and important leadership role.”
Mr. Sousa replied, “I look forward to this opportunity as manager at WCB and continuing the company’s commitment to provide our clients and customers with the best possible service in the real estate industry.”
During his 18 year career, Mr. Sousa has completed major transactions, including the acquisition of the Movado Group, Inc.’s corporate headquarters in Paramus, along with acquisition and disposition assignments on behalf of EMC Corp.
Mr. Sousa began his real estate career in 1988 with Helmsley-Spear. In 1990, Mr. Sousa joined Jacobson, Goldfarb & Tanzman, LLC (JGT) as a specialist in the northern New Jersey office market. In 1996, he became a part of Alexander Summer/CRESA (Corporate Real Estate Service Advisors) as a vice president. Before joining WCB in 2005, Jim was a managing director with Newmark Real Estate in Rutherford, New Jersey.
Mr. Sousa has completed assignments on behalf of Columbia Pictures, Lowenstein Sandler, Sony, Paine Webber, Chase Home Mortgage, Port Authority of NY/NJ, IncentOne, Blue Star Infotech, Reliance Construction and Dean Witter.
Mr. Sousa received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Curry College.
