Kolar has been in the real estate business since 1981, as a salesperson, broker/owner and broker/salesperson. He has listed and sold all types of properties, from residential and commercial, including land, industrial, office, net investment, retail, etc.

Kolar was a two-term Board President of the Greater Union County Association of Realtors and served in all of the offices leading up to the Presidency. Kolar is also one of the founders of the Garden State Multiple Listing Service, which was established during his Board Presidency. He also served on many Committees of the New Jersey Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Kolar was awarded the status of Realtor Emeritus in 2022 after being a member of NAR for over 40 years.
